Welcome to the official webpage for the Embassy of the Republic of Marshall Islands in Taipei, Taiwan. The Republic of the Marshall Islands formally established diplomatic ties with the Republic of China(Taiwan) nearly 18 years ago on November 20, 1998. Since then, RMI-ROC(Taiwan) relations has only gotten stronger with rapid progression as recently illustrated by the high-level visit by Her Excellency Hilda C. Heine, President of the Republic of the Marshall Islands for the occasion of the inauguration ceremony for Her Excellency President Tsai Ing-Wen in May 2016. The Republic of the Marshall Islands remains committed to further strengthening the strong ties of friendship that happily exists between the two countries through increased cooperation in various areas including education, health, tourism and energy just to name a few. Additionally, the Republic of the Marshall Islands through the Embassy will continue to support interaction between our two peoples through the promotion of cultural, scientific and technical exchanges.
In addition to promoting and protecting the national interests of the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the ROC(Taiwan) and in the region, the Embassy will continue to protect and promote the interests of the Marshallese citizens and business abroad.
